Happiness Can Only Exist in Acceptance

Happiness can only exist in acceptance

This quote from George Orwell, “Happiness can only exist in acceptance” says so much that it’s challenging to add anything to it.

To me, it means accepting yourself – all of your faults, problems, mistakes and issues – and then accepting other’s faults, problems, mistakes and issues. Like many things – easier said than done.

It can, also, mean accepting things or life as it is. To accept life as you find it, yet that doesn’t mean that you can’t work to improve, change or alter it…should you choose to do so.

How often do I have to remind myself of this statement. And then try to live it.
