Famous Vs Great: Not Everyone Can Be Famous But Everyone CAN Be Great

Not everyone can be famous but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Not everyone can be famous but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.” There are a lot of “famous” people. Sometimes, they’re famous for short periods, sometimes longer. However, there are even more great people. And those are the people who adhere to what Dr. King called “greatness,” they serve.

King continued saying, “You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.” That’s what those who serve have – a full heart and a big soul. You can serve via giving money – with no strings attached – or through giving your time – that means uncompensated time – or both.

While the drive by many is to become famous, perhaps we need to focus more on being great!
