To Have the Life You Want You Have to Give Up the Life You Have

Dream of having a different life or achieving a goal, yet refuse to make the changes needed to have that life or goal? Funny keynote speaker Garner shares.

Do you dream of having a different life, yet refuse to make the changes needed to have that life? Do you have a goal that you want to reach but are unwilling to give up on your old way of doing things.

After all, to achieve a goal requires that you DO some things you don’t ALREADY do.

And if you hold on to the things you currently do – that do not help you accomplish your goal – you won’t be able to do the things you need to do to manifest your dream.

Sometimes the change you need to make is very small; sometimes it’s huge. But it doesn’t matter if you never make it! Small or large… if you don’t make the change needed, you will fail to hit your target.

If you follow baseball, you know that to be a great hitter, the batter must constantly make adjustments. (If you get a hit 3 times out of 10, you’re a great hitter. That means if you succeed only 30% of the time at your job, you’re a highly paid person.) Often, it takes a little adjustment from the batter to get a hit. Now, the batting coach knows this, the team manager knows this and so does everyone else including the batter. But does he make it?

Take a look at your goal; your dream. What adjustments do you need to make to manifest your dream? And… are you willing to make them?
